Held during Simha Month of the Solar Calendar (during Simha Maasa Sundays of August – September every year and done in various temples of Delhi NCR)
Annual Maha-Pradosha Mahotsava
- Held at the start of every Saka-Samavatsara (April month of every year).
- This is a culmination to Maha-Pradoshaa Puja on every Trayodashi of Solar Year by Veda students of SaViPra (done since its inception year 1967)
- Held every Thryodashi (Krishna and Sukla)
FOUNDATION DAY CELEBRATIONS
FOUNDATION DAY CELEBRATIONS on every Vijaya Dashami day during Sharannavaraatri.
The Foundation Day is celebrated every Vijaya Dashami as this is the day in 1967 that this institution was set up in a single room at Karol Bagh, New Delhi with two students.
To mark this day, Cultural programs (Dance, Music, and Play) by SaViPra students. Convocation Ceremony for successful students of SaViPra. Participants in Annual Shloka Recitation Competition (involving SBG, SB to Ramayanam, etc) are felicitated. Shlokaa Competitions were conducted two weeks prior to this day. Special Recognitions are also given to the achievers of the Spoken Sanskrit courses, besides other cultural activities.
OBSERVATION OF IMPORTANT DAYS
Promoting Sanatana Dharma, involves celebrating and observing important days that hold significance in the tradition. These observances can help create awareness and appreciation for the rich cultural and spiritual heritage of India.
Some significant days that are observed include- Mahashivaratri, every Trayodashi – Pradosha Puja – Shravana Trayodashi in particular followed by SIMHA month’s s]Suryanamaskaram on every Sunday, Gurupurnima, Sanskrit Day, Valmiki Day to name only a few.
