The phrase “धियो यो न: प्रचोदयात्” specifically translates to “May He (the Deity Supreme) stimulate and illuminate our minds.” It is a prayer seeking guidance, wisdom, and enlightenment from the Divine, so that one’s intellect and understanding may be enlightened and guided on the path of truth and righteousness.

WHO WE ARE?

We are a dedicated and passionate Institution committed to promoting and upholding the profound teachings of Sanatana Dharma- an ancient and eternal spiritual path.

Sadvidya Pratishtanam, popularly known as SaViPra, was established in the year 1967 by Acharya Padmanabha Sharma (Guruji), under the divine directions and blessings of Pujya Paramacharya of Kanchi.
It is registered under the Societies’ Registration Act 1960 as SADVIDYA PRATISHTANAM (SaViPra).
The primary objective of the Pratishtanam is to propagate and teach Samskritam and Vedas.
Guruji firmly believed in the inherent divinity of “Samskritam” as it consistently instilled moral values among its learners, playing a pivotal role in the welfare of society and the country at large.
However, the active preaching and promotion of Samskritam and Vedas are necessary to fulfill the mission of SaViPra and to spread their profound benefits.

to revitalize the awareness and appreciation of this ancient heritage through providing access to vedas, Upanishads, other holy texts and cultural events.

Patron Emeritus

SHRI C V GOPINATH. IAS (Retd)

Shri C V Gopinath Ji is a revered figure with a diverse portfolio. A retired IAS officer, he is the Patron Emeritus with Sadvidya Pratishtanam- has held key positions in the Indian government, including Additional Secretary to the Ministry of Communications. Beyond his engineering and management background, he’s an advocate of Ancient Vedic Culture, a Vedic Teacher, social worker, filmmaker, linguist, and a blend of tradition and modernity.

Post-retirement, he advised the Delhi government for five years and represented India at the India International Telecommunication Union in Switzerland. Recognized by luminaries, he’s praised as the “Cultural Ambassador of Karnataka at Delhi” and his heritage presentations are likened to Nehru’s “Discovery of India.” A recipient of national and international awards, including the Kannada Rajyotsava award, he’s also been active in the Delhi Karnataka Sangha.
